 Bibliography of Abe Funk
Abe Funk

Abe Funk grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan, Canada. His first church experience as a new believer was in a small church where a pastor mentored him and allowed him to experiment with ministry and leadership. His pastoral ministry began in Minnesota in a small town. He served as a District Minister, a church planter, and as Executive Director of the Baptist General Conference of Canada for eighteen years. Abe has a passion to help small churches to be healthy and effective.

Since his official retirement Abe has been writing a book, writing leadership materials and holding leadership seminars for a variety of denominations and congregations. Abe is available to speak at conferences and retreats where leadership development is a key focus. Recommendations from leaders will be gladly forwarded on request.

His book Hope For The Small Church grew out of his ministry experiences. While the book is addressed to leaders in small churches, most of the principles outlined in the book apply to churches of all sizes. Abe has authored two other books, Johann, the story of his great grandfather, and Our Story, a 350 page pictoral volume on the history of the Baptist General Conference of Canada.
